We offer a variety of services.

Introductory Consultation
Elder Advocates always provides a free introductory phone consultation. A registered nurse with many years of experience will come to your interview you. Based on the information gained from this interview, our caring team of trained experts in the field of elder care will assess the degree of support your elderly loved one may require. From there, we can determine the course of action appropriate for your situation.

Short-Term Partnership
Sometimes you need just a little help getting started. We can help you develop a plan of action and a timeline, connect you with appropriate services or facilities, review bills or statements from your insurance company. We can also arrange for transportation assistance to help get your loved one to an occasional medical, health or diagnostic appointment. These services may be scheduled on an as-needed basis at an hourly rate.

Long-Term Partnership
Often the job of becoming the caregiver is overwhelming. Perhaps you are working, or raising children, or live in another town. You want to provide the best possible care for your loved one but need a helping hand.

Our caring team of trained experts can be there when you need us. We will set up a plan based on the initial consultation and work from there. We will work hand-in-hand with you to ensure the care and comfort of your loved one. We have lots of ways to keep in constant contact while we manage your plan:

  • Your nurse will meet with you face-to-face at the beginning of the plan and develop a schedule of visits based upon need.
  • You will have password-protected access to FamilyLink, a login containing your loved one’s individual plan where you can track progress.
  • You will have access to phone consultation with your nurse and other professionals as needed.
  • Your nurse will assist in arranging transportation to help your elderly loved one get to local medical, health or diagnostic appointments as needed.

In addition, you can schedule weekend and evening consultations with a nurse, arrange for regional or long-distance medical transportation with a nurse, or set up a routine review of bills and statements from your insurance company with associated guidance regarding required payments and documentation.

A retainer fee can be set up for this comprehensive care plan.

Special Features

As our loved ones age, the type of care they need is as varied as the individual. Whether you are caring for someone with physical needs or memory loss or a combination of issues, Elder Advocates has the expertise to help you make the best care choices. We can lend you a helping hand when you need it most.

Your nurse can arrange to attend medical appointments with your loved one to help relay and interpret information from the physician. This will help ensure that the doctor’s instructions and /or test results are clearly understood.

There is often a time between when we are able to do for ourselves and when we know we can’t. That in-between time can become an issue for family members. When is it time to take away the car keys, or protect a loved one from cooking accidents? Sometimes you need someone to step in and help with those decisions. That is what our helping hands can do.

We recognize that those suffering from dementia behaviors are no more able to control their symptoms than those suffering from a heart attack or stroke. We focus on building relationships, solving issues and celebrating the successes. That is what our helping hands can do.

If you are caring for an elder someone and need a helping hand, we are just a phone call away. Contact us at 865) 247-0321 today.
